This program will be an overview of bats of the world, with an emphasis on our local species.  It will cover the persisting myths and misconceptions about these fascinating creatures, the many roles bats play to ensure a healthy planet, and the perils bats face in their struggle for survival. 

Maureen, is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, focusing on bats, and has been for over twenty years.  She also hold a Master Wildlife Conservationist certificate, and a permit from USDA to exhibit non-releasable bats for educational purposes. 

A non-releasable bat associate will accompany Maureen for the presentation.
